Position is in a 203-unit and 15 story apartment building located in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, occupied by elderly persons.This position requires a preventive maintenance person that works well in a team, has an excellent work ethic, and has a specific set of general technical skills.The Preventive Maintenance person performs general preventive maintenance tasks, handles assigned work orders, preventive maintenance inspections, and performs tasks such as replacing lights bulbs, A/C filters, dry wall repairs, cleaning A/C coils, performing ground duties, cleaning and lubricating essential equipment, cleaning carpets, punching out apartments, unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and interior drains, cleaning dry vents, maintaining specific appliances, basic electrical wiring, general plumbing, painting and general carpentry.
Salary: $17.75 - $24.50 per hour

All staff, residents, and vendors are required to wear a mask and engage in social distancing. There are hand sanitizing stations throughout the building. Additionally, the common areas of the building are routinely disinfected throughout the day.

The Floor Technician Houseman must have a sincere desire to serve older adults in a quality care setting and must strive to provide excellence and consistency in facilities.
The Floor Technician Houseman performs general cleaning duties in apartments consisting of dusting furniture, vacuuming floors, emptying trash, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen units thoroughly, sweeping balconies, washing glass doors, cleaning ceiling vents.
The Floor Technician Houseman cleans floor lounges which involves sweeping balconies, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, washing windows, defrosting and cleaning refrigerators, cleaning stoves, ovens, and kitchen units.
The Floor Technician Houseman cleans hard floor surfaces and carpets using necessary equipment (ex. Spotter, extractor, burnisher, etc.)
Set Up and Break Down chairs and tables for community functions.
Removal of Bulk trash and recycle.
Clean floor laundry rooms by mopping floors, cleaning dryer vents, and washing appliances.
Performs other cleaning duties on floor chutes and floor hallways.
Maintains equipment which includes floor equipment (extractor, burnishers, scrubbers, etc.) vacuums, and carts.
Uses cleaning substances in a safe and responsible manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Minimum grammar school education. Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Some Floor Technician Houseman experience helpful. Training will be provided for all required functions. Should be honest, possess good judgment, tact, compassion, and integrity.
