Vice President, Life Plan Communities

Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Presbyterian Homes of Georgia to conduct an executive search for a Vice President, Life Plan Communities.  

Presbyterian Homes of Georgia (PHGA), located in Quitman, Georgia, is a Christian ministry providing exceptional services to enhance the quality of life for senior adults. PHGA offers a full spectrum of senior healthcare options through its three Life Plan Communities: Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community (Quitman), Presbyterian Village Austell, (Austell) and Presbyterian Village Athens (Athens), and its three affordable independent living sites, Calvin Court (Atlanta), Swainsboro Presbyterian Apartments (Swainsboro) and Phillips Tower (Decatur). Throughout all of its senior living communities, a fulfilling lifestyle is delivered with a caring heart. Its staff-to-resident ratio is exceptionally high, which feeds into the culture and promotes a better experience for staff and its 1,000+ residents. The Vice President, Life Plan Communities is responsible for leading the planning, designing and oversight of the organization’s Life Plan Communities integrated with the strategic plan of the organization. A key area of focus will be developing the ongoing post-acute strategies for the organization, including the continuum of care within PHGA and establishing of networks and partnerships with community providers and payers. The VP, Life Plan Communities will lead the development and implementation of the organization’s operational excellence, which ensures delivery of the highest quality services balanced with financial stewardship. Direct reports include three Life Plan Community Campus Executive Directors.

The successful candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s highly preferred) from an accredited institution in business or healthcare administration or related field, as well as an active GA NHA license or eligible for reciprocity. (S)he will have ten years minimum of senior management experience within healthcare or continuing care retirement community administration experience. (S)he will be both entrepreneurial and innovative in developing strategy, resources, and services to ensure the organizations long-term viability. The finalist will embrace and have a comfort level in expressing her/his faith.
