Community Administrator


Gwinnett Christian Terrace (GCT) is an affordable senior living community for those 62 and older located in Lilburn, Ga. The community has 125 residential apartments with 12 ‘UFIS’ accessible units for the permanently disabled. The community has a rich diversity of backgrounds, cultures and languages that engage in a set of multicultural activities to enhance the lives of all residents. The Community Administrator will provide administrative planning, oversight, communications, personnel record keeping and property management. The position reports to the DCCSH Executive Director.

Responsibilities include the following:

Supervise Facility, Occupancy and Administrative Staff
• Coordinate and communicate GCT community needs with Executive Team
• Direct Life Enrichment, Occupancy and Maintenance Dept. initiatives
• Manage GCT staff scheduling
• Monitor and revise job descriptions for GCT staff members
• Coordinate/ facilitate training for all GCT staff members

Supervise Occupancy and HUD Compliance
• Review GCT tenant files for recertification
• Oversee occupancy to secure compliance with HUD guidelines

Financial
• Develop yearly budget in coordination with Executive Team
• Execute budget in coordination with Comptroller

Other Duties
• Update and maintain operational knowledge of current office technology
• Brainstorm with Executive Team and staff on administrative and operational matters
• Review resident issues and work diligently to resolve matters appropriately
• Attend meetings of Leading Age Georgia (LAGA), local county housing partners and other agencies
that share mission, service area and vision for enhancing the community
• Coordinate and assist with initiatives of DCCSH which further the mission of both communities

Education
• Maintain knowledge and keep up with changes in HUD housing policies and procedures
• Attend seminars offered by Leading Age GA on issues relevant to both aging and affordable housing
• Research and advise on GCT employee training and continuing education opportunities
